Who will be the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft? Here’s what odds say

The 2025 NFL draft is quickly approaching, and draft odds are out for who will be the No. 1 overall pick.

As of late February, Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward is the odds-on favorite to be the first player selected.

Things will change in the months before the draft as player evaluations continue at the NFL combine and other pre-draft events. Potential trades for the top pick in this year’s draft would also affect the betting odds for which player will be selected first.

For right now, it’s Ward and then everybody else.

Here’s a complete look at the six players with odds greater than 10-1 to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft:

2025 NFL draft: No. 1 pick odds

DraftKings Sportsbook has the latest odds for which player will be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Those odds are subject to change in the coming weeks and months with the NFL combine and pro days still ahead.

Here’s which players are among the favorites to be the first overall pick in the draft:

Cameron Ward, QB, Miami (FL): (-140)
Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State: (+175)
Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado: (+550)
Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado: (+650)
Jaxson Dart, QB, Mississippi: (+5000)
Will Campbell, OT, LSU: (+8000)

Given the high concentration of quarterback-needy teams atop the draft order – the Titans, Browns and Giants are all candidates to draft a quarterback – it’s no big surprise to see three quarterbacks among the betting favorites. Ward, who projects as the top quarterback prospect, is currently the odds-on favorite to be the top pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Two Colorado stars also crack the top five in odds, including Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.

When is the 2025 NFL draft?

The 2025 NFL draft gets underway during the final weekend in April.

Thursday, April 24: Round 1, 8 p.m. ET
Friday, April 25: Rounds 2-3, 7 p.m. ET
Saturday, April 26: Rounds 4-7, Noon ET
